power generation

Riding on our experience and successful operating track record in Cambodia spanning more than two decades, we managed to secure a second IPP project in 2009 for a 30 years’ concession to Build-Operate-Own (“BOO”) a 100MW coal-fired power plant in Shanoukville, Cambodia. As the developer, CEL financed, constructed, tested and commissioned the project facility comprising two 50MW coal fired power generating plants (utilising low-emissions Circulating Fluidized Bed Boiler technology) including a 2km double circuit 230kV transmission line connecting the power plant to the nearby EdC substation. The power project was successfully put into commercial operation in December 2013 and is fully managed by CEL.
